How do I fix my MPC 2000?

Whenever I get into a beat and start programming my drums, I'll hit a bass pad or something and it just turns to static. I gotta restart my whole machine when that happens which sucks 'cuz I only know how to save shit by transferring it to my PC whit its ready for mixing. My man said I need to replace my censors. How do I do that?

Sensors.......? I dont know bout that, but I've had the same problem and the reason my MP was making that static noise was because of the RAM. The memory sticks, whatever you wanna call them. Check those out first before you do anything else. Make sure they're the right ones, and make sure they're seated in the slots tight and correctly. The memory tends to f*** everything up in the MP.
