How to use the BP filter?

how do you use the Band Pass filter? simple question, hoping it has a simple answer.

Once you get the card, it'l become clearer - Its hard to tell u where to look when u dont even have it to look at.

In the meantime, I'd look in the manual.

if you have the 2000xl

unless you have the FX card you wont get Band Pass.

Band Pass is really nice for Hit hats and Shakers, and high pass is even nice for a very low cut signal.

these are basically filters for shaping sounds.

on the 2000xl, i think you have to go into the program mode.

the other unit to go for that has LP, BP, HP, and more is the Akai MFC unit.

how do i go to the bp filter page.ive the fx card and an xl.whats the purpose of this function?

it is in the mixer screen.....the purpose is to shape sound with little or no need for an outboard effect......the fx will not work unless you assign them to the different pads on the mpc and kick the volume up!
