Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

when im laying high hats down and i have it at 1/8th timing it makes them all wierd and off. how can i quantize these so they are on? i can make it pretty good with the timing off but i want them to be on.

What type of music do you do? That will help make a better decison, what is your usual tempo?

hiphop, tempo usually at 85-95, it just seems like it makes everything i do off

is your metronome on in record mode :wink:

Check your timing. At the main menu higlight TIMING and hit OPEN WINDOW. Now set your SWING for EARLIER and 0%. This is the default setting.

I thought 50% swing was a default setting.....I'll take your word for it....1/16 is usually str8....1/32(double time) is str8 too...

Initialize your MP and see what it tells you.
