Mpc 2000 xl midi w/ Korg Triton Studio

Im having problems midi'ing my mpc 2000 xl to my triton..Im getting sounds from my mpc to the korg but not vice versa. I know i set each track to midi but when i play my keys on the triton nothing comes through. Can u help? thanks guys!!!

You have to choose correct MIDI channel on your mpc track, but instead of MIDI you choose DRUM 1, 2, 3 or 4, depending which mpc program you want to play using triton's keys.

ok I tried to set the track to midi instead of drum 1,2,3,4 and still no sound from my triton to the mpc..any thoughts?

You did the exact opposite to what I suggested...
Anyway, remember that notes in the standard mpc program layout are not placed chromatically according to the pads, so maybe you are just striking keys (notes) on triton under which there is no sound ?

Oh no i understand what ur trying to say..but i am getting my mpc program sounds to my triton. ex: im striking the triton keys and its playing sounds from the mpc program. But what i want is a triton program sound to record into my mpc sequence. For example, I want to lay a triton bass sound into my mpc sequence through midi, but when i switch midi to my mpc track i get no triton bass sound. Hopefully that makes sense..thank you for ur help..its greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!
