Yo is there any way to delete a program out of a project without deleting the sounds out of memory?

I ask becuz I have a hi-hat program kick program and snare program saved which has all my chopped up open drums mapped out.

I load them up then make a new program to pick one kick snare hi-hat ect. and lay them on the pads how I want

When I save, it saves EVERY singe kick snare hi-hat that I have in the kick snare hi-hat programs...but I only need to sounds on my new program.

I tried purge but Since these sounds are in the kick snare hi-hat programs they do not get deleted.

Can anyone help me out here?

shift+program
up at the top unnder pgm: select the program you want to delete from memory and hit open window. delete the program. this will mean you will have to reassign your sounds to the pads you want. then the purge function will work.

you have to delete the programs, THEN purge

purge only deletes sounds NOT being used. so if you don't delete the programs (or remove the sounds from the program) they are still being used and purge will not work.
