Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By STRUGGAL Mon Feb 25, 2008 9:09 pm
When I see the music note.I can get the sound snippets off my e-book to go into I tunes. Then I can sample sounds. How are you able to get those programs off the e-book to to load? Because when I read the book it has steps to guide that disables me to follow! :)

What e-book?

E-book for mpc 2000xl.I knew to this computer world! Matter of fact I got a e-mu xboard 49 keys. Soft ware doesn't automatically load. I pick a folder and that ask for applications. It would be cool if the computer stuff was more simple! :o

the question doesnt make a whole lot of sense. what does itunes have to do with the ebook & loading the programs/sounds?

I was thinking that too, but hey, maybe that's how some people roll. I despise Itunes. lol.

I also have never gotten any e-books so I don't know how that goes at all.

Sounds like he wants to use the examples from the MPC e-book that he has on the computer, but cannot get them to load, only sample them while they play in iTunes.

My 2 cents...........

you should just leave the computer for now. learn your mpc inside out. I think the overwhelming learning curve of all this new stuff will distract you heaps.

If your sampling via the mpc's analogue in's, with sounds your auditioning in iTunes, then stick with that.

turn the computer off, and take a few weeks alone, with the mpc and the manual.

If you got a card reader its as easy as putting the sounds onto that, and loading them in that way.

Yo I will roll with that. Thanks for the info. I will just get the notes pages for sounds. Also sounds from software, floppies, and my zip drive. Hard work pays off. I want to be on that master level feel me! :D

haha I was trying to figure out if you were a gimmick account or not but didn't want to come right out & say it.

Exactly what about the ebook instructions is disabling you to follow? I bought the ebook too but I skipped a lot of the beginning chapters because I already knew that stuff from reading the manual.

1st, a couple of questions before anyone can help you any further.

Does your MPC have a ZIP, MCD, or external CD drive?

Does your Computer have a ZIP, MCD, or CD/DVD burner?

I have a zip drive with a floppy drive on my 2kxl.
I have a disc burner on my mac book.
I just got those note pages for sounds off the e book.
As for the step programs I can't get into them to follow.
I read the book at certain spots it's like load the program.
See whether it comes out like this etc.
I'm new to computers.
I opened up a new folder for the application but something isn't right.
It won't install where I need it.
I got a similiar problem with my e mu x board 49 key.
Saying choose correct application.
I just gotta but haven't being able to get inside of it correctly. :x
