EQ ing individual drum sounds

how can i eq a specific kick snare or hi hat on the 2000xl . thank u for ur time

If you have eb16 effects card, then you have to assign particular sound to the eq on the card and just tweak the frequencies. If not, then you have to do it outside the machine, on software maybe and put it back again to mpc. Pain in the ass, I know...

I either
- eq them differently when sampling them
- sample some drums with my laptop and eq them in software before using them in the mpc
- eq them when I've tracked my beat to cubase

run your 8 outs into a hardware mixer(if you have them fitted). send each sound to a discrete channel.
