8 Outs Help

Hey guys... Been using my MPC 2000XL for almost a week now and I'm really loving how easy it is to use!

ANyway, Mine has the 8 outs and I'm just wondering about when I go to assign certain drums to certain outs, why the first two give me stereo options.

For instance, pad 1 goes to track one (great!), however, it assigns that to OUTS # 1 &2! I just want it to go to track one. That way I can have 8 tracks record into pro tools at once. If I have to do it only 6 tracks at a time (since I loose track 2 and 4 as repeat tracks), I'll have to figure out how to sync up the machine with MIDI (something I want to learn anyway) but I'll loose some time.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you want to send individual then you will have to convert your samples to mono. or sample in mono to begin with. since the mpc is reading a stereo sound, it is sending it stereo... =2 outputs.

I kind of figured that is what was going on.
