Click of death on a floppy drive....???

I keep hearing this clickin on my floppy drive when i insert a floopy...my mpc still reads it and writes to it but it scares me to death...am i gonna need to replace my floopy

I have the same problem, with all my disks. I have a zip drive now so I try not to use it. When I do use it though I take my disk out after I load up. My reg. mpc 2k is 6 years old. I think I heard any pc floppy drive should work in a mpc. Hope this helps, Peace
