can u sample from midi, w/ the classic 2000

like, can i sample or multi sample, from my friends synth keyboard, with just a midi cable(dont have strait 1/4 cable at the moment

Sound dont travel via midi - U can only sample via audio outs

why dont you play the synth and record it into sound forge, then bring it back to the mp after its chopped or looped or whatever u tryin to do to it via burned cd or zip if you have one.
