scsi unknown file format

first off im new so be patient lol, anyway, i loaded a zip disk with some wav files off the computer and loaded it into the drive on the mpc 2000 classic. When the disk loads i set it to show wav files and it shows the files i have on the disk, but when i go to load a file, it says unknown file format, i changed the names of the files so there were no special characters or anything and I also went back to the computer and checked the properties to make sure they were wav. Any suggestions?

Ok I figured it out, needed to convert the sounds to 16 bit and 44.1, I used dbpoweramp, hope this helps someone else later.

See these are the threads I love, You ask a question but instead of acting like a cry baby who needs to be spoon fed you just do some more research and you find the solution by yourself. Thanks a lot for showing others that RTFM really works.

lol, to tell you the truth lampdog i figured it out yesterday when i was working on cool edit, you know when you open a new project and it asks you to select the sample and bit rate and all that, then i thought hmm, i remember commin across a thread talking about that with the mpc, so i tried converting it and voila , headache gone, i just got your pm right now, lol wish i woulda got it sooner your still the man and my go to til you tell me to quit botherin ya ha ha

I know what you mean, the only time i ask people personally is after i used the search, went through as many threads and the manual and im ready to rip my ears off the sides of my head lol.....like this thing with the keyboard, i literally had to get up and walk away cus i was ready to through my thousand dollar keyboard out the window
