alright, i got a 2 gig 50 pin scsi drive real cheap and wanted to see if it would work with the mpc. i have the cable hooked up ready to go but i know i need to power this sucker. does anyone know where or how i can hook up the 4 prong scsi power to the mpc?

the directions on mpc2000xl.com (for a laptop drive) dont say how and where the power is hooked up and i dont want to start taking my mpc apart any further without knowing what i am doing.

thanks for any help.

"anyone know where?"

AFAIK there is only one place that could supply this. Got a multi-meter? I don't open an MPC without it.

"or how "

Got a soldering iron?

Sounds like more trouble than it's worth. Just stick to the connector in the back for ease of use. That sounds like MPC3k is getting at.

The installation stuff I have causes more questions than anwers. I'll probably remove it.

I do not advise anyone without soldering and circuit experience in modifying their MPC. If one cannot figure out where to get power and use a multi-meter, then they should not be in there.
