advice on basic program and sounds

Please allow me to introduce myself I'm a newbie who hopes not to be a pain.
My songwriting partner picked up a cherry 2kxl in Florida on vacation. We've been looking for one in part because we have some studio tracks we want to remix with the .all drum tracks created on floppies for the songs.
One minor problem, no programs or sound disks came with it. I'm pretty sure the material was sampled with the original program and sound files that came with the studio's 2kxl but I'm having a hard time finding OEM disks or downloads.
Any leads on getting the factory disks or downloads? I've tried Akai and e-bay. If this is not possible, any recommendations on kit programs and sounds suitable for country?
I've got Addictive drums and some Groove Monkee stuff but I'm at step one on the learning curve and short on time so I would rather not have to start from scratch.
I have an external SCSI CD-Rom that I can load from.

so you're saying you got some all files you want to load up, but the sounds from the program(s) are missing? they sequences and stull will load up fine, but of course you'll have to replace the missing files with new ones. i guess thats what you mean.

but i dont understand what the issue is. you cant find any good drums to use? my bad im just confused by your situation

Xackly, everything loaded fine with the free download I got from one site but it's a beats box set and you can imagine how funky that sounds with a basic 4/4 country pop tune.
I'm not sure what drums would match up with the material, seems like everything out there is pushed for hip hop. I just don't know where to look so I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

What he said. Maybe get to know how to sample, before you use the MPC as a basic drum machine. It might go against what you were originally hoping to do with the machine, musically, but I think it's the best option.

Yes, or I could build my own program using sounds from Groove monkey or any number of sampling resources if I only knew how to convert their map to a program for my mpc. which is to say, if I weren't at the brainless idiot stage in my use of the device I would have no problems.
The fact is that the machine originally came with programs and sounds and I just want those training wheels until I am not a brainless idiot anymore or at least so that I can look at the programs and how they were constructed and use them as templates that I can work from.
Can someone please recommend a good set of training wheels?
