Note variation slider repair? Can anyone help?

My MPC2XL note variation sliders playin up & is actin erratic. I remember seein instructions a long time ago on how to repiar this which involved openin the unit & solderin the part loose etc. I can't find this anymore...

Does anyone know what I can do or where I can find info on this? I very much appreciate any response.
