electricity in another country

wwhat up people well im in peru the electricity is 220
do i need to connect my mps to a transformer or can i connect it directly
i cant find the specifications or i just dont understand somebody help me out with a direct answer

If you have mpc 2000 or mpc 2000XL , you can use that anywhere without a transformer provided the voltage is between 100 - 250 volts.
Just source the right power cord locally for one that fits the outlets you have in your country.

We just learned in another thread that there are obviously also 2000XLs that run on 120V only.

Yeah, so be VERY careful before hooking anything into the MPC. Make sure you get the correct transformer, I bought one from eBay. Just search for Transformer, Seven stars or something. Or check out the thread I made before about the same topic, the link is in there. Good luck Peace

The 2000XL is dual voltage. No need for a transformer.

(EDIT) nevermind I read it.

Be very careful when **** with adding transfomers to your setup. I just got an item(synth rack) from Europe on ebay and it was the wrong voltage, adding a transformer to my setup caused power surges and effected all my audio signals.
