Does anyone know how to execute program changes on the MPC2000 (XL)?
My MPC is loaded with programs assigned to Drums 1-4. I have the MPC slaved to either Digital Performer or Ableton Live. But whenever I send a Program Change from the DAW the MPC resets to "NewPgmA" (i.e., and empty program) instead of one the programs I've assigned. I've been using the MPC-Computer relationship for months now and everything is working perfectly in terms of MIDI communication between the two machines. This is just the one anomaly that I can't crack.
I simply would like to automate my program changes. Any suggestions? Thank you.
