Sometimes when i go to trim a sample the beginning of the sample will start shortening. Like i was using the jog wheel and turning it right. But im not even touching it! Sometimes i will be on the screen menu the 1st scrn. Then i will go to trim a sample and there it is again. It will readjust the start time automatically. It is quite a hassle ,especially since i usually have the start times already trimmed up nice and neat........ Why is this happening? Is theyre any adequate solutions that dont deal in hi dollar repair?

If it only does it while you hold the Shift button, it could be the Note Variation slider bugging. You can use it to quickly trim the start and end points as well. If it is worn out or dirty, it can make the trim points jump around wildly even without touching it.

Happened on mine once, took me a while to figure that one out...

I didn't. Once you know what's happening, it's not a great deal. And I don't use the slider for trimming either.

You just have to hold Shift and move the slider when either the sample start or end point field is marked.

But before, I would try if it jumps whenever you hold down the Shift button for a while and don't touch anything else. If it really is the problem, I guess your NV slider must have been set quite at the bottom when it happened...
