MPC2000 SCSI detection Problem!!!!!!!!

Hi, there i got another problem

When i Go to the disk screen load/save/format etc. and try to select a device other than the floppy drive or ROM chip i.e i try to select a SCSI device. i get a message in the middle of the screen saying Wait.... I get no response from the MPC after this message comes up i just bought a ZIP drive and this is stopping me from even remotely using it. I dont know what the problem could be. Can anyone help, I cant use my ZIP drive because of this

either ur zip drive is butsted or ur scsi port is f'ed up

turn the zip drive on first befor u power up the mpc.....that should clear it up for you

Check your Zip drives SCSI ID and Termination. Make sure it's not on the same SCSI ID as the SCSI controller on the MPC which I believe is SCSI ID 6 (on the non XL model)

Youre probably going to have to replace the drive. I was having the same prob and I replaced the drive now everything is straight.
