I know you can pan each individual sound but i was wondering if you can JUST pan your tracks. Thanks

Each sound/sample is supposed to have it's own track in the mpc, pan that in the mpc mixer.
Master pan. Nope. But you can link ALL the tracks together (all or only 1) in the 2kxl mixer and move the pan and they will all follow the panning.
That would be a workaround for a "master pan" type thingy..

if you hold shift when in the mixer screen with the cursor on the pan knobs and hit each pad that u want to pan, it groups the channels and u can alter between 1 and 16 at the same time

Please explain the reason for panning and how it benefits when using with mpc
