Power problems

Hi all.
I just tried to install a card reader and managed to blow up a part of the power supply, one of the regulators i think. I've been on to skynet who make the piece for a replacment, but need to know if I fried the reader and if its gonna do it again and if it damaged anything on the motherboard. Anyone know the schematics for the 5, 12 and -12 volt pinouts so i can test it?
