What do you guys use to get a better signal...

Hey I just got my MPC. I was wondering what is better to use to get a better signal from my Record Player into my MPC.

I think I can either get a pre-amp or a mixxer right. What do you think the best think is to go to get a louder volume and signal.

I use my mixer, but either one will do.

Most mixers have an EQ, which can help you shape your samples BEFORE you sample so you might want to consider that an advantage... I do...
