SAVING Sequences and Drums In Banks For ReAppearance...

I use the xl to whip up hot helpings of drum designs... however, when you turn the xl off, it loses the memory of the drums you assigned to the banks, hence losing the memory of the sequences you've put together. I have not messed with saving things as a program yet, and I am looking for a way to save the drums loaded into the banks, so they will be there when I turn the xl on again, and also the sequences which I've made with these drums, can anyone help to solve this conundrum?... Also, on a side note I only have 2mb of memory, don't know if this has anything to do with it...

Just save your stuff as a program(all pgms or newpgms)....the mpc aint gonna do it for you.

Word, I knew it had to do with that program save... just wanted to make sure, I'm not that literate, so the manual is a bunch of 'mumbo jumbo'... I got to play it by ear, I know you cats feel me right? playing it by ear?, as opposed to some nerdy scheme to rock the track? ... oh maybe you dont... whatever tho

Creating and saving programs is not nerdy.

You may want to look into the flash memory option which keeps samples stored in an internal flash memory card that you can recall immediately when you turn the machine on.

Either that or you could hire a production assistant to save and load up sounds for you, roll blunts, make coffee, clean your studio all while you play it by ear.
