Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hello need some help???
got an mpc 2kxl and a mac using cubase. I've slaved cubase to the mpc as i prefer the timing. This is running through the midi interface on my sound card. I've recently bought some new synths and again i want them to be slaved to the mpc but are lacking midi ports on the back of my mpc to do this. I just bought a usb midisport 2x2. Can slave all my synth up to the computer via the midisport which would in turn make everything slaved to the mpc.
So synths slaved to comp - comp slaved to mpc - mpc master of all. Is this right??? thankyou to all that answer.

depends on were u wanna sequence your synths? in my opinion it would be easier to sequence them in cubase as editing is alot quicker and its more visual. Then maybe just use your mpc from drums and as a master clock source.

you can always export the midi tracks for the mpc after you have sequenced them into cubase.

this is the way i work, when i wanna hit the road with the mpc and a synth, its just a clock away to get it from the computer into the mpc. and all that midi automation and CC's are in there too, if i need to free up hands for some other tweaking.

So if i use the MPC as the to send mtc to the computer can i then get the comp to send beat clock or mtc to my synth or would this conflict with my previous settings. At the moment viewtopic.php?f=11&t=98441 this is what ive got set up. But as i said its not recording the right info. I want to use my Mpc as a sequencer intially to start of my tunes then record each midi part into cubase where i can add synths and stuff.
