MPC2000xl sessions dump to nuendo

Hi Guys!

When created a beat on my mpc, I wanna record all the channels apart to nuedo (and I don't have the 8 out!) so i've gotta record part for part. But all the parts gotta start at the same moment so I tought it is a nice idea to use the MMC option for this. So nuendo starts playing/recording when I hit the play button on the mpc..

Is this the best option? So I can **** up and mix my drums and samples that i've chopped and played?.. What do I need for it? Only a midi cable form the out of the mpc to the in of my soundcard?

and then i've gotta buy a soundcard with 8 inputs or a 8 channel mixer, but then the mixer makes it one channel in nuendo so in that case i've gotta record all the channels one by one also

I think the whole MMC idea is a better option in my case! Nobody any experience in this?? When you connect the mpc to the computer by midi, the computer will recognize it without any installations? except choosing the right one in nuendo..

the MMC does work quite nice with reason and my mpd24! so why not with the mpc and nuendo

Why not just get a midi cable, and drive the MPC from Nuendo. One track at a time, well one stereo track. Slow and boring but gets the job done.

There seems this attitude that you must have the bigger and better hardward. Just work with what you know. It just takes patience.

Nothing implied, just pointing out it can be done with the current setup. Its just slower.

I don't even want to buy the 8 out if it isn't nessasary

one or two midi cables? cuz there is midi in and out you know..

If it was me Id midi up the MPC and use the PC as the master device.

you can one track at a time it without midi. set nuendo to the beat tempo, turn on the metrenome and catch it. you might have to do this a few time to get the timing right. i got the 8 outs and nuendo but sometimes 8 aint enuff. i couldnt tell you how to do it with midi though. just make sure the tempo's are the same.

hehe it's a solution.. but I think the midi way is way better..
