Some mpc 2000 qustions....duplicating sounds and converting

I want to duplicate a sound a ihave already and put in on a pad how do i do this without sampling the sound ova again...and when i convert a sound to mono how do i apply the finished result to a pad...the stereo sound is still on the pad i just wnt the mono sound

Is the conversion. Note: Remember the new name of the sound.

After conversion the new sample will not magically appear on a pad, you have to assign it.
