suppose i buy any one of these interfaces digidesign mbox,Edirol UA-20 USB Audio/MIDI Interface ,Quattro USB Audio Interface NIB.
1. do i need protools to put them on to my computer.
2. will they work on my computer.
3.andwill they work with mpc 2000xl

I know people say it's good using protools because you can edit your work but i can arrange the track on my mpc so i don'y really need protools i just need a way to put my music from my mpc to my computer.

I think you should do a bit more research as far as the point of having an audio interface before you get one. compare the specs between different units and get one to suit your needs. I know this is a pretty vague answer it seems like you have very little to no knowledge on the subject.
here are some usb 2.0 audio interfaces available.

Obviously you aren't limited to usb interfaces there are firewire and pci models available.

1. no you dont NEED pro tools but you do need a DAW like cake walk sonar, logic, adobe audition, etc. to record into
2. the purpose of the interface is to work with your computer
3. yes it will work with the 2000xl, you can use midi and sequence it with the computer via your interface and depending on the interface you get, you can record directly from the mpc to the computer on your DAW

hope that helps,
