2KXl 8 out distrortion s2000 card

Well, I bought a s2000 for its 8 outcard (Mutec) and after a little hassle with a dodgy ribbon cable, Ive got the card to work.
BUT, the audio from my main outs are very distorted now. Im just using a standard floppy ribbon which to be far is a little on the long side.
Ive done three of these Mutec s2000 cards into the XL with no problems at all. The card works in the S2000 OK.

Any ideas or experience on this one?

Well Ive done a search and it appears some work and others don't.

Ill try it in the 2000 classic first and see what happens.

So does anyone have any leads as to which Mutec serial numbers are bad and which are good?
It would be good to iron this out once and for all.

An update for you all.

The Mutec card that caused a lot of head scratchin' in the 2000XL works great in the 2000 classic.

Ive just won another mutec card £10 and a complete S2000 with effects card for £30 so Ill update you all later.
