Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

so i never use the slider and never use the time stretch and never use alot of stuff on the MPC... something i am in the process of remify'iny

i have a drum chop broke it down just how i like it and i can not get it to hit perfect... i have been doing good on the quantize off and doing them with out kinda trying to hone in and craft my skill a bit, but even when i turn the quanny on ... i can get it to fit if the kick is right before the start, basically at the 2.04 start (i only do 2 bars of drums first until i get the feel of the hole sample arrangement)
so any tips or something that i should be using that i am not or never have before thanks and peace

Maybe chop the beginning of the kicker tighter so you can move the kick ticks closer to the beginning of the bar or right on the very start of the bar. Does the kick have a slow attack or something, is that the reason why you have to start it at the end of the bar instead of "on the 1"?

yeah its a double kick piece... i tried seperating the 2 by chopping it up more but it doesnt sound right to close ... and to PHAT!
ima play around with it im not good at matching up tempos i usually just drop a 90-104 rate and go from there...

I'd chop into single kicks. Place them where I want them to play. Tune down the first kick maybe 2-3 clicks.

The problem you are having is what you get when you use double kicks/riffs/loops.

I always go single shots cause I like to control my destiny. :D
