what else do i need

Yo my set up consist of a mpc 2000xl an turntalbe...a four channel mixer...and a dell pc....i got a midi controller and i wanted to use it.....i used to use it with fl but i dont use that anymore...now i got cool edit and acid on my pc...so im wondering....What do i need now to use my midi conttroller with my set u p? how would i be able to trigger the sounds? Someon e plese help me out....

why would u need a midi keyboard when u got the mpc???u wanna sync it wit anotha program??

Yeah...i basically wanna use the midi controller to compose my own melodies......thats what i meant to say

i have a similar setup. i use my midi controller to in conjunction with the mpc to play strings, keys, and other melodic sounds from my modules into the 2k. also, i took all of the sounds form my acid programs (as well as all of the sounds from my computer for that matter), saved them to a disk (i have a 750mb internal zip drive) and use those sounds in the mpc (you could also sample those sounds from your pc into your mpc. you may want to eventually increase your mixer size and replace your midi controller with a keyboard to use with your mpc. good luck. -k.l.
