hey guys - this is my first post and i'm super new, i know nothing. i just bought a super-beat 2000xl w/8 outs on ebay for 350. it looks like the screen needs to be replaced.. it's not super shitty, but still... it's shitty. the main outs, L & R are not functioning, either.

and my main problem - the zip drive. he said it is a 250mb internal drive, and it needs a new power cable. i went to radio shack to get the cable, but neither the guy or i could find WHERE to plug the 4-prong power cable into. is it... under the 8 outs panel or something?

and i guess... should i just send the whole thing back because it's a huge piece? or should i fix it? i'm not working with many funds, unfortunately.

this is a picture of where the zip drive would get its power

thanks for the help, a lot!!

If you don't see the power cable for the zip drive inside the MPC, then it must be missing. It is a short cable with a tiny white plug on one end that plugs into the board near the floppy/IDE/SCSI connectors and the correct plug for the zip drive on the other end. If that isn't there, you're going to need to get one. Probably mpcstuff or vst can hook you up.
