Question about mpc's

Guyz whats the purpose of getting a mpc 2000/xl whe the dang thing dont even have a cd burner...alot of us dont have computers or mixers to record our beatz too..when will akai be smart enough to say we need to put cd burners on our mpc's...you basicly pay 1500 dollaz for a bunch of pads and a sampler....now i have to go out and buy a 1200 dolla mixer just to burn my songz

well if you gon pay that much, you might as well buy a computer wit tight software and a burner. you dont gotta pay 1200 for a computer wit a burner homie. plus it wont juss be a mixer, but whateva other software u decide to put on it. a computer is like a package instead of juss one specifit piece of equipment.

i say do it that way if you dont want to spend 1200 on 1 thing. Juss my 2 centz.

why do you have to buy a mixer to burn your songs? get a cheap home stereo cd burner or a lower end digital multi track machine with a cd burner in it if its that important.

i wouldnt pay extra for an mpc cd burner. it'd probably only be able to record your raw tracks. mixing would suck. i could be wrong but i dont think the mixer function on the mp even has pan

i think u rite. i **** around wit the mixer and "pan" it hard rite or left and there's never a difference. Im probably doin it wrong (most likely) but i dont think so....

oh well. my recorder does and so do my computer so flowers it

its got a pan. But yeah I go from the mpc to a mixer then a hhb burner. You can get a cheap ass mixer for under $200 and a burner for like $300.
I dont know where you got 1200 from. Maybe a studio in a box.

Some people may not need a cd burner in their mpc. The 2000xl is not really intended to make finished mixes i think, it doesn't have any effects either so even if you could mix down to cd you couldn't compress or master your track. In my opinion this is best left to other devices like computers or harddiskrecorders anyway.
You say you pay $1500 for a sampler and some pads? In my opinion the sequencer is the most important feature of the 2000xl, it's rock solid and beats any sequencer i've used so far.
i think roland has a new sampler out that looks like an mpc, and has a cd burner in it. You might want to sell you mpc and go for that one.

Its a damn power house. I look at it as a necessity. A need instead of a want.

Music production is an expensive hobby/business. If you want to do it properly, you need to invest in the proper equipment - i.e. an MPC for sampling & sequencing, a mixing system (i.e. mixer) and a recording system (computer, digital recorder). Either that or get your mixes produced at a studio.

i guess wit what i wanna do i have to buy expensive thingz...like i need suttin to master my songz and burn it yamean...i guess yall right...what cd recorders was yall talkin about

if u decide to spend that much, get the yamaha aw16g, excellent machine...........bit of a learning curve

yeah if your not willing to spend the cash to follow your interests take the easy way out and get a pc....

people have been making shit-hot music on mpcs without built-in cd burners for years.........

some people simply take the outs of their mpc connect it to a pc and record into that.......strangely it works!

SO I CAN GET A REGULAR STERE CD RECORDER/BURNER & RECORD STRAIGHT FROM THE MPC? IF I GOT A SMALL MIXER WOULD THE SOUND COME OUT DIFFERENT & WOULD IT STILL BE POSSIBLE TO MIX USING THIS METHOD? HOW COULD I SET THIS UP?

i got a teac home cd burner. its hott man. works just like a tape deck. I got a mixer too but i was making beat cds before i got the mixer. just get something like that
