Not for 2k though.

I don't see how many pins the data ribbon has on it.
2kxl has 40 on the motherboard.

Media is not hot swappable under IDE. gotta turn the machine on/off to change/recongize different media.

For 2k, get at scsi 4 samplers and see about an external card reader.
