Style Flip 2000XL skin received and installed!

Got the Style Flip skin today and put it on. This shyt was very difficult to put on and I almost ruined it. There are a few small air bubbles and imperfections, but nothing serious. It looks OK.\

Installed. I don't know if you can tell from the pics, but there is a dull-like clear film over the actual skin.






I don't know if that clear film was supposed to come off or stay on, but I didn't like it cuz it was too dull. It protects the skin nicely, but it looks a lot better with it off; almost like it's painted on. Only problem is you can see ALL the little imperfections that were hidden by the film.

But that joint looks raw.

Damn, I was hoping that it would cover the sides up too! I'm assuming that's why you painted it beforehand. Looks a lot beffter than the pre-applied "flip" cover image, and it looks like a hi-resolution quality print out too. Pretty cool. I got about 2 machines I'm considering doing this to but if I have to paint it or some sh!t to get the colors to match on my MPs, it ain't happening.

1. That's exactly why I painted it all black first.

2. Yeah, the original image is like 1600x1280 or something.

3. I'm sure you could go to a vinyl shop and get some colored vinyl siding and front to cover those areas. Maybe get a big sheet in the color you want and just cut to fit with an exacto knife? That, or you could just make your design match the MPC's color somehow. Maybe some type of red would work. Works for the 49's! It's not fair, though! Does anyone here know the owner of the site? Cause I'm willing to pay extra to cover more of the surface of the unit, preferably everything but the rear and bottom of the units. I'm sure that MPC users are a big part of their clientele, you know? It can easily be done.

Looks pretty cool though Hellfire, nothing like that smeary airbrushed forat stuff...plus it's removable.
