Read a lot about the Octatrack, I was a bit hesitant at first because my roots lie with the MPC, nothing will replace that. But, for Dubstep and glitch the Octatrack has it.

Done an unboxing video for anyone that's into them.

Anyone here got one? Going to spend the next 48 hours with it. Welcome it into the studio.

Unboxing is used by Internet Marketers (I'm one) to quickly gain YouTube views. With more views, comes better rankings on YouTube which equals even more views. YouTube trawlers love to view unboxing videos of products that interest them. It's one of the reasons why so many exist.

Once video views reach a certain number of views you can add Adsense blocks to them, or use the description to promote a product. That equals $$$$.

Internet Marketing is the reason why I can buy expensive equipment to support a passion and a hobby I enjoy.

If you notice I put

Done an unboxing video for anyone that's into them.

Because some people hate them. Like yourself.

also, it shows what a brand new one comes with so if you buy one... you know if somebody took something out or what have you.

okay for example in video games... some people show what a product came with so others know if theirs is actually complete or not..

it also shows how it's packaged which says quite a bit about the company etc.

So hows that Octatrack? Been interested in it for a minute. I know its a new breed in samplers but how's the sequencer and beat building? Can I record the slider effects and what type of effects it has?

unboxing videos are what noobs make instead of an actual beat-making video... this is because they never even get around to making beats but so badly desire to be lumped in the same category as the beat makers in the videos that they masturbate to daily... these are the same people that come here demanding answers to questions that could easily be answered by reading the manual.

Once I've finished the manual and had chance to get familiar with it I will put together some videos. I doubt I'll use it for much hip hop, it's more for my Dubstep productions.
