Hello there,I have this zip iomega drive 4 saving mpc datas. But I would also like 2 save triton samples on it.There are 2 scsi ports on the zip with 2 cursors for "termination" and "scsi id".So I guess I could share this between mpc and triton, but I'm not sure.
Coud someone give me confirmation and explanations as well?
Thanxxx a lot

ahhhhhhhhhhh.....nah!!! the other port is so u can start a scsi chain, zip to hd, cd-rom or something like that and the mpc or triton would control everything depending on which one has the chain connected...

oh and i believe the rules are if you have under 40 posts..hit the newbie forum..

a buddy of mine said he did it ...he said he just made sure all his scsi shit was on different id's and had his 3000 plugged in and had his computer plugged into the other slot from his pci scsci card..

i dont know how a scsi zip can send information to 2 sources.. yeah they all have to have different ids..u dont want to have id #2 on your hd, zip and cd rom then when u try to load something on the mpc ish might blow up or sumttin trying to figure out which one u want...maybe ur boy was using his comp as a hd using a chain from the zip and the mpc could recognize it??? i dunno..

It's possible. I use mine on my mpc and my fostex vf-16 as backups. I have one SCSI cable going to the back of my vf-16 and Another SCSI going to the back of my MPC. It seems to work fine for me. I haven't had any problems.

Thanx a lot y'all 4 reply, and thanx banga, Kind of relief that I can save money cause I don't have 2 buy another zip , even if these sharks from Korg force you 2 purchase this scsi interface as an option...
