Philly a couple of thoughts on your projected studio:

1) Get some nice Monitors!!!! lol Look into Genelec or Mackie 824s. Aleses won't cut it for a professional studio.

2) Unless you're djing you don't need Technic 1200's, a Rane mixer, and Shure needles. Ahhh you're not using a computer. Well you still don't need anything nearly that fancy. Even your mom's old turntable might have pitch control. I don't say this often, but I'd go cheap on this part if you're just sampling.

3) If you're tracking vocals in another studio you might just want to use the preamps on your mixer. Get a Mackie. Then you'd have to spend at least $500 to get a better sounding pre anyway.
