Jazze does cash money beats also and I've never seen him with a EMU. He likes Tritons and Trinity's.

Mannie Fresh I can tell uses a EMU. I heard some of the sounds that are in my Proteus.

I hear a lot of basic tr-808 drums in his music.. Just about any keyboard should be able to duplicate his sound. If you buy a triton/rack, you should be all set, but since them dudes got money, they probably have every module, keyboard made, so I doubt you will find that magic box that contains 'all' the cash money sounds.

yeah, in my mophatt i hear lots of the sounds. lots of filtered stabs he uses. Plus, drums....on the number 1 stunner, the snare is a preset.anyways, on the sp1200 thing i read that somewhere too, but i dont think its true. The mophatt has lots of 808 sounds too.

but thanks DH, cause i was debating from the proteous pop exb, the vintage keys, or orchestral 2, or zr76.I think the pop rom is now on the list for sure, maybe the vinatage keys.

But how is the PROTEOUS for basses? I need some good sub basses. Im sick fo some of the mophatt ones.

It might sound lame, but im building my mp7 for those cashmoney, type sounds....ive got some friends asking for those kind of beats. Like my 3rd setup for a specific sound......I use my mpc for sample shit, my triton for west coast ish, and the MP7 for cash money, ghetto banger.

I love the emu mp7 series because its completely independant of all my other gear....i dont need a turntable or records, another sequencer or nothing, everything it portable and all the sounds i really like. plus the filters i can work it lik ei would regular samples.....drums are awesome, and so are basses, all in ones spot.

peace

2000? Did he say that? I've NEVER seen him with a 2000, He always has a 3000 when I see him in the studio, but that's only been like 5 times. Also, he uses triton keyboards alot too. Trust me I know.

Fresh uses the SP quite often buthe also uses the MPC. If you listen closely, you can tell the difference.
