CounterBalance

Didnt know where to really post this so if this is in the wrong forums Mods please move. I have a Gemini XL50DD turntable its pretty old but still in good shap and reliable. it was in storage for about a year and somehow I've lost the tonearm counterweight. I searched all over the net,ebay,cl and i cant find one. Will the new gemini turntable counterweights work with this unit. Or are there any alternatives I can use. I would hate to have to get a new table just because of the counterbalance

I've heard of people glueing nickels to the tonearm. might be a quick solution. Good luck.

Most turntables have a similar size counter weight.
Find a place that sells old/reconditioned turntables from the 70's/80's. I used to work in a record store that refurbished and sold old turntables, and the guys had buckets of old counterweights. He gave 'em away when people needed them. If you can bring your turntables into the store for sizing. Definitely can't buy a new turntable just because of a small counterweight part.

yea i found a place that sells counterbalances for the new gemini turntables just wasnt sure they were same size but i'll just order that i'm sure it will work
