get a midi interface and install the cd that comes with it. Follow the setup guidelines to name your mpc and show what in out port it is on. Once you've done that the computer can see where your mpc is connected and
can communicate. Hook the OUT of the mpc to the IN of the interface, then
the out of the interface to the in of the mpc... now theres a two way connection where the computer can send data to the mpc and vice versa.
In your computer sequencer you have to look at the sync preferences and make sure that you send midi clock or midi time code to the mpc. THen in the mpc go to the sync page and set it up to sync to external device and either to midi time code or midi clock.... this will mean that when you hit play on the computer, the mpc will trigger as well.
