Open for suggestions tight on space

I don’t own an MPC60 or an SP1200. I own an MPC2000xl. After hearing drums out of a 1200 and samples out of a S950, I almost passed out. I don’t have the space for a SP1200 or an ASR10 keyboard. But I recently bought a desk that gives the ability to screw on sound modules and samplers. So I’m leaning towards getting an S950 and an esoniq sampler to trigger from my 2000xl. But I’m open for suggestions.

Before emptysea posts a reply. Do us all the favor of making an a/b comparison of Maschine’s Vintage Sampler function and the real 60 and 1200, on drums and samples. Let our ears be the judge. I realize this might be bias, so it would be very beneficial if someone else besides emptysea does this as well, because I know the tricks of compression and the likes. I did see a youtube video of No I.D. talking about this exact thing. But I’m not naïve, he did get paid for the video.

I’m personally not scared of technology. I got Audio Ease Altiverb 6 instead of getting a Lexicon 480. I must say they got it pretty close. But I also got Altiverb 6 for its other functions. Not going to go over them, trying to stay on topic.

So I appreciate any suggestions and I would appreciate the infamous a/b comparison. Although to be honest, it will take a lot of convincing to get rid of my 2000xl and jump on Maschine.

Good looking. The rack looks like a good option. I also realized there's an Emax2, but it's 16bit. It probably lacks the grittiness, right?

just get the holy grail an asr-10 rack with an s950 and a emu emax hd

i have an asr and an emax and an s1000
but the emax is not as nice as the sp12 i had for drums but it still adds punch to the samples buhhleave that

Thanks. I would love for them to emulate the holy grail... It would also be helpful if this was done with a drum loop sample. I'm not hating it though. I'll do more research.
