01v; is a fantastic mixer. Do get the adat litepipe option for it. Also has midi in/out.
Have this connected to a pc (pentium II 400mhz) to cubase 5.1. Control 01v via cubase or control cubase mixer via 01v. Don't front on the pc spec; it runs rock solid with wavecenter pci adat litepipe card which is connected to the o1v's litepipe card. Ram is maxxed to 768 megs and the entire system is ultra wide scsi. Has been running solid since June of 98.
Only reason I'm upgrading the motherboard and processor is to upgrade to Cubase SX and make it a 24 bit 96khz recording system. So the 01v/96 will be an upgrade too from my current o1v and I am going to get a frontier design 24 bit 96khz capable litepipe card; the current card is 24 bit 48khz capable (still a very good card)
Anyhow;
the eq section on the 01v is amazing; stunning; so are the effects. You have compressors on every channel too. Mic pre's are top notch. and you can daisy chain another 01v to act as one entire mixer. I have the mpc 4000 digital litepipe card (output) connected to the 01v litepipe input. The litepipe output on the 01v goes to the litepipe input on the wavecenter sound card. The litepipe output on the soundcard is connected to the mpc litepipe in. And the spdif output on the soundcard is connected to the spdif in on the 01v (to monitor any sound coming from the pc)
The possibilities are limitless when you use the digital litepipe options.
I have the emu carnaval and the xl-1 turbo connected to the 01v along with the Korg Triton (via analogue) the mpc 4000 and the pc are connected via digital connections. The midi from the 01v is connected to steinbergs midex 8 midi interface. Sometimes cubase is the master sequencer and sometimes i use the mpc 4000 as the master sequencer. 01v faders can be automated via cubase or mpc 4000 sequencer.
It's a damn good mixer for the money!
Peace
