I just bought a computer and a Delta 1010 and need help hooking all my equipment up to the 1010. Heres a list of my equipment:

Fostex VF-160
Gemini Turntable
Pyle Pro DJ Mixer
ASR-10
Behringer Truth Monitors
Rode NTK Mic
Focusrite Platinum Voicemaster Pro
MPC 2000XL
CD Player

I had no problem hooking everthing up before but now with the computer and delta 1010 it seems a little funny. I want the Computer software (SONAR 2.0XL) to run everything else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. What Im looking for is what to hook up via MIDI and cables eg.....hook midi in to asr midi out etc.....

You need a midi interface like a midiman 4x4 and route all your mods
midi out to midi in on the midiman interface

if you don't have 8 outs for the mpc or the asr then stereo mpc to 1,2 of 1010, stereo asr to 3,4 of the 1010 turntable and cd player still in the dj mixer, dj mixer stereo to 5,6 of 1010 , mics to 7,8 or which ever channels have mic ins, then truths to the outs on the back of the 1010. if you only sample from turntable and cd and no cuttin then don't connect them to the delta 1010 just dj mixer output to what ever you sample into (mpc, asr)

are you tracking in sonar or on the fostex?
How many midi ins and outs are on the back of the fostex?
How many midi cords do you have right now?
Which do you use, The Mp controling the asr or vice versa?
Once you answer this I can help you

ok right now i track on the fostex and save it in .wav format then import to sonar. I have no problem with that. But when its time to record vocals the person in the booth cant hear the beat, and if he can its only on one side of headphone. But then i cant hear the music in the control room its like one or the other. I want to be able to make my beat, track it on sonar if not possible then the fostex is fine, my main problems is vocals. When i record them its a slight delay. I know this sounds confusing but its hard to explain what im trying to do. Maybe if someone could tell me what would be ideal (what would you do if you had this exact equipment) with the setup i have and explain how to set it up that would be cool. Thanks.

to answer phatz, I have the mpc controlling the asr 10, theres only one in and one midi out on back of fostex, i have about six or eight midi cords, I have the mpc controlling the asr when making my beat, then the fostex controlling mp and asr when tracking, im just trying to incorporate the cpu in all of this.

i think u have to setup ur soundcard in sonar. u need to use the ASIO drivers. It should be in with the delta, but goto maudio to get the newest drivers for it. after u set that make sure ur latency is like 11ms or lower and the buffer 512. this should take care of the latency. also before u record defrag the hard drives and also goto start menu, run, the type Msconfig, then goto custom and uncheck the load start up programs. this will free up more processing power
