My bro likes keyboards--recommendations?

Sup.

I have an MPC1000 and a MicroKorg XL.

My bro isn't really into composing beats but just likes to jam out on his electric drum set or electric keyboard. I want to get him a new keyboard/synth for his birthday (this weekend) but I'm not too familiar with them.


Maybe I can rattle off some things he enjoys using the keyboard for and I could have some recommendations on what I should get him:

He uses both hands so would enjoy a full range (or more than 2 octave) keyboard. --multiple octaves
He likes the diversity of sounds his current keyboard uses. -- comes with a lot of sounds/filter effect adjustments
He sometimes will record a loop or even 3 minute jam session on the keyboard's memory and then replay it while he jams on the drums.

I'm thinking about spending around $200-300.

If anyone has any recommendations, I'd like to order something today.

You might get lucky and end up grabing a roland juno d for no more than $350 on ebay.
