hey guys, im trying to set up my mpc 1000 to control reason on my computer. i have it working perfectly, i just cant get the transport buttons to be recognized. im not sure if i really want to set it up so that reason is slave and mpc is master though, as stated here:

http://www.akaipro.com/syncreason

cuz that will mean when you press record on the mpc, everything will be recorded in thte mpc's sequencer. is there a way i can set it up so that when ipress stop, play and rec on the mpc, it will stop, play or rec on reason's sequencer only, and NOT the mpc? i feel like everytime u press record on the mpc, it will write to the mpc's sequencer n omatter what. am i wrong?

I think it's midi machine control (MMC) that you're probably looking to do. Midi machine sends transport commands rather than sync data like you'd find with sequencers.

Unless reasons offers transport control options, it ain't gonna work. Plus your mpc needs to be setup to send MMC of course if you want to use this feature for future reference.

in the link you provided it says nothing regarding mmc on the mpc 1000 - maybe there is the problem.
also it mentions ableton live and not reason in the mpc 1000 section even if the whole page is talking about reason.

peace, jo
