I've been a long time Guru user and got to see more about Geist to jump ship.

I tested guru a few years ago and think it was the best adaption of a hardware-like workflow. Very nice software. I always wondered that they weren't any updates AFAIK.
So now there is Geist. If they didn't leave the path of guru to much, this will be a dope software.

It's out today and unlike so many others attempts it actually has time compression/expansion. We'll see how good it is in due time. I wasn't a fan of GURU at all, but I'm going to try this one out...even if the demo videos were really bad. The pre-release videos anyway. The quickstart tutorial videos are ok, as can be seen here.

According to the FAQ, it's not the sequel to Guru though.
