hey guys, sorry for all the questions. i was originally leaning towards the krk rp8 monitors but after having been recommended the yamaha hs80s monitors i am seriously considering these. the reviews are all impressive. my only concern is there are a lot of reports on a loud hiss coming from the speakers. some people are saying this is down to earth problems. does anybody on here have any experience with these speakers or the hiss problem? unfortunately where i live i cant try these speakers out so i have to buy online. thanks

I also own a pair of HS80's

They're pretty dope. I dont like mixing on them personally but I love making beats on em. As far as the hiss, you'll only experience that with the gain turned all the way up on them. If you plan on wiring them directly to the MPC then turning them all the way up would not be the best idea. Less then half way and control the volume from the MPC

at the minute i will be wiring them direct to mpc or maybe through a dj mixer until i can afford a mixing desk. cheers for the advice

I checked out the HS80s at a music store, not bad, but you will want better ones eventually. I am personally shooting for Dynaudios BM-6As. Expensive as shit but worth every penny.

You might look into some used Event Tuned Reference 8 studio monitors. I rock with these now and they sound great. Just saw a pair go for $250 on ebay.

Yup. Thats going to happen with most monitors in that price range. My favorite pair of monitors also happened to cost the most

I would check out Event TR8's.
They are really nice quality bi-amplified tuned reference monitors at a very good price.
