...poorly thought of from a marketing stand point, Hey buy our 2500 or 5000, but NOT this EIE cause it only has 4 inputs...

Buy 2?

I like the design. If it has the right price point and sounds decent - it may be a cool product for some smaller recording set ups.

what is its top selling product actually?

I'm purely guessing the 2xl, but still why a make a product that doesn't suit half your product line up, as far as the mpc lines concerned only the 500, and 1k, (with the exceptions of the base 2xl) have four outs, just seems poorly planned, if your gonna make an interface, make a interface, to many toys being made these days,

seen it coming?! it's OBVIOUSLY named like that on purpose - why else would you call it the EIE I/O??

the "Electromusic Interface Expander" ?!?! it's OBVIOUSLY a backronym ... jebus .. give the nukai guys SOME credit!

Why do you think I said "Great name though" up-thread?!

IBM did a similar thing with the PowerPC chip, giving it an instruction to "Enforce In-Order Execution of I/O" which is written as eieio
