Introducing M-Audio Venom

I'm not impressed at all. If I'm not mistaken, you cannot edit all the parameters from the synth itself, only some of them and it doesn't even have dedicated knobs for all of them. Editing on a computer is with a Vyzex editor, so i'm not sure it's possible to listen to the sound while editing. It seems you have to send the preset to the synth in order to hear it.

Also the price is very similar to Roland Gaia and Novation Ultranova, which both seem more hands-on in terms of tweaking.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, that's my impression from watching the demo videos.

if thats the case, that does suck. but who in their right mind would force you to edit sounds without hearing them? i hope they spent alot of time creating an interface you can edit without the computer. i think the vyzex is a good idea for deep deep parameters,etc. or vst ability, but you should still be able to edit stand alone.
