Ortofon Concorde DJ S (Blue)

Any of you guys **** with this? I don't know if i'm being ocd about it, but ive been hearing that the m447 are the staple in hip hop sound. never listened to a record let alone a break with one, but i am just curious if there is a positive difference to the ortofon vs. m447 to sample with. heads on the internet say the ortofon's are designed toward serato dj's? i just tend to see a lot of house dj's on the serato, and more of the hip hop heads use the m447. the ortofon plays my records clearly, but im thinking maybe TOO clearly.

get rid of the ocd and stop trippin?

How is the Ortofon designed more for Serato DJ's when the DJ came out wayyyyy before Serato was even invented?
The Night Club and Pro models came out way back in the 80's...Not sure when the DJ s came out but I remember them on turntables since 99.

But yea..you are beeing too OCD about it imo... Most hip hop guys in the 80's and early 90's probs didn't even sample with the 44-7 but with Stanton 680EL's or a 500AL

44-7s REALLY boost the bass.

They definitely have a very loud and crisp sound but they are definitely not flat / accurate.

Adds punch to the sample, but yea, you are worrying too much about it. Who cares how 'they' did it?
