I have a oppurtunity to have a fully fonctionnal Korg M1. I was looking to purchase a midi controller and a low-fi sampler and then boom i see a Korg M1 for 150$. I read on it but i want some inputs from hip hop heads. Want do yall think about this deal?

I'd say get it. If anything else, it will double as a decent controller. I owned one when they first came out back in 1990.

The sounds may be a bit played out or stale by todays standards, but it should still be able to cover some areas if you couple it up with a decent/current sound module.

It's a great controller keyboard with aftertouch but it's HUUGEE, weighs a tone and sounds like general midi

Had one back in 2003, glad to see the back of it..but it does look cool and you can put lots of decent synths on top of it haha

you could buy it and flip it if its in decent condition and probably double up.

You could get it in the Korg Digital Edition soft synths for less.

you could. but you could also pay more than for the original.
there seem to be a few cases where the soft synth is more expensive than the original hardware.
